Using live-action footage that was just shot for a Toyota Tacoma campaign, Studio TEN created an additional features & benefits video to call out some of the impressive new features on the vehicle.
Rather than creating static, 2D supers for the myriad features, we decided to try integrating these callouts into environment, whether that meant having them float in 3D space, or having them sitting on the terrain the vehicle drove upon. The idea being that these features allow the Tacoma to harmoniously integrate with its surroundings, regardless of what they may be.
The solution required a lot of tracking and some roto, but the result was arguably much more interesting than had we just used flat, static overlay graphics.
